Eluma Joseph aka JoeSean (@elumajoesean) is not a new name to underground hip hop in Nigeria. The Abuja based emcee has been consistent. Hes is not shy to get on the stage or hop onto a collaboration to drop a jewel.
Not long ago he was featured on a track “Sense” to favorable acclaim on this site but now he’s onto another one. This time around he calls it “Respect”.
Originally, JoeSean prefers to English rap in English. But on this track, he flexes his lyrical muscles on the use of the Hausa language, which is something he hasn’t done before now.
And he does it to a very encouraging degree. “Respect” is a track that defines what a true emcee wants, which is letting others know who the actual top dog is in the hood.
His real names are Eluma Joseph and he is an upcoming Nigerian hip hop artiste. The dark skinned Abuja based rapper hails from Benue State. He also performs regularly in Uni Abuja and the environs.
Obviously this track was done for the fans who have since demanded a Hausa track from him. It is worthy to note that this is strictly for people.
According to him; “I am an English rap emcee, but since am based on northern side of Nigeria I thought of doing something like they way BOC ,Dj Ab does it, and feature an upcoming street Hausa rapper Aliideen (@official_aliideen) to make the song happen, since it’s in Abuja”.
So maybe you have never heard about Joesean. Here is our interview with him where he talks about himself at length and gives us insights to his future plans. Whats next for him? A mix-tape? We will just have to wait and see.
Enjoy the crunk feel!
