This conversation is getting larger than we expected it to. Firstly it was why VEC wasn’t in M.I’s list. And now, it’s why Nasty C was included in the list in the first place.
M.I Abaga was asked on Twitter who his best rappers were and he ran through a quick list.
His best rappers of all time included Proverbs, Mode 9, Freestyle, Jesse Jagz and Ghost from Show Dem Camp. His bests at the moment had Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest, Poe, Ghost and Khaligraph Jones.
The fans weren’t having any of that and they’re now starting to react. One thing the commenters fail to understand is that this was MI’s opinion. Moreover, MI abaga has a right to have his own favorites and biases, just like everyone else.
Facebook is agog already. We peeped into many comment box-es to see what people are saying.
A certain Emini Alaga Rap said harshly;
“M.I ought to be stoned for this”. Uh? On top this small matter.
Upcoming rapper, RM Fedral, says; “That nigg, at times e dey always dome like say make ah find am go beat am”.
A user named Zamuel Lawrence opined; “As for me, I think M.I is right with Nasty C, but what of VEC?”
Kehinde Oluwatobi Adeyemi, who has the harshest comment says; “MI is literally stupid!”
And the most hilarious of all came from J Aliceson Ojuyenum; “Pls who is M.I????”
Ogbeni Whizumar says; “You guys ain’t even talking about Ghost of Show Dem Camp, the guy is good o, but ain’t nobody better than him in Africa?”
But here is my opinion; even if you are going to add Nasty C and exclude Olamide, Phyno and the likes, shouldn’t it have a Vector?. Especially when that same list has Jesse Jagz, Ghost and Freestyle.
Somehow Falz, Ycee, Boogey, Blaqbonez and other dope rappers did not make his list. But Nasty C was there. Did M.I mess this up? One thing is for sure, Nigerian rap fans won’t take this.
