Earlier today, one of Nigeria’s most talented MC’s, Uzikwendu, stopped by at Beat 99.9 FM for the Midday show. And it was a quick session.

From talking about his Uzi Burn Out, and his new single “Forget About Uzi,” he also chipped in some sort of advise for artistes. He had said, when he isn’t doing burn outs, he’s either in the studio or just writing. Then he went on to explain why he does that. You guessed it. So he doesn’t get rusty!

When the host had asked if he gets writer’s block, he snapped back quickly.

“I get rusty. But, I never get writer’s block.”  He said

“Maybe it takes me 20 minutes to write a verse. Or 10 minutes, if I’m rusty, it can take me 1 hour.”

And what’s the cure? Constantly writing

The “Stamina” rapper, who also doubles as a fitness coach, quickly cut in before the question even landed. And, there you have it. Don’t want your rap skill to start going sour? Get back now, write more.

He didn’t leave the show until he gave some other words of advise for everybody;

“Don’t be too hard on yourself. Keep pushing and you’ll succeed.”

Meanwhile, his new single “Forget About Uzi,” which is a freestyle on Eminem’s “Forgot About Dre” beat, is currently trending.

“Y’all not even ready for what’s coming next” Uzikwendu said.
