How did you come about your stage name?
I came to bear my stage name from my ex girl friend, she gave me the name from her name.
What inspired you to venture into music
I get inspired by things around me. I am also a good guitarist thus I get inspired when playing my guitar.
Skippy what about your Childhood and family background
I am from the family of seven and I happen to be the last child of the family. I lost my dad when I was 5 years old so lovely my mum has been struggling for us to survive since then.
We know its not easy, so how do you combine music and academics
It is really difficult but we have to keep pushing till we reach our dreams.
What has been your greatest challenge and success as a budding Nigerian artiste
My major challenge is this; it is quite difficult to get get a good promoter and record label that’s willing to push this dream.
You have a unique style, which top artiste will you like to feature and why
I would like to feature Mr Eazi because we kind of have a similar style of music I would also love to feature also Olamide and lil Kesh
Any upcoming projects we need to watch out for?
I have many upcoming projects, because as a song writer I try my possible best to make sure I write song consistently.It helps to broaden my creative ability.
Who’s your role model and why do you respect him
My role model is Wiz Kid, because I admire the fact that he came from nothing to something and he’s done well for himself. Two years from now I see myself as one of the biggest musicians in Nigeria.
Do you think he has got what it takes to rub shoulders with the likes of Tekno and Davido? Its only a matter of time.
