Nigerian Singer Shuga Is A Simple Human Under Gods Authority

Hip hop head spotlight would like to shine a light on young Nigerian pop and hip hop artiste by the name Shuga. He was born as Samuel Uche Nzeh. Follow this article and find out about him;

How did you come about your stage name?

I came about my stage name when I was in the higher institution far back 2014. Before then I was called Sammy but later felt Shuga was a better option. It is an acronym for “Simple Human Under Gods Authority” and it was better.

What inspired you to venture into music

I’ve always loved to sing and I want to be heard all around the world through my music.

Tell us about your Childhood and family background

I’m the fourth child in a family of six from a poor background and we are based in Lagos state.

We know its not easy, so how do you combine music and academics

It hasn’t been easy at all but I believe there’s time for everything. I had to drop out of school because I could no longer provide or cater for my fees. But I am believing that some day I will be able to further my studies.

What has been your greatest challenge new Nigerian artiste

Well gaining attention globally is my goal. Before then I would love to work with a lot of top artistes in the Nigerian music industry as well as other artists worldwide.

Do you have any upcoming projects we need to watch out for?

Yes a lot of projects are on the way so I’ll say anticipate and keep your eyes open.

Who is your role model and why do you respect him/her

My role model of all time is the late Dagrin. He is my mentor, a brother and a boss. May his soul rest in peace. I also have a role model in Dremo.

Where do you see yourself 2 years from now?

I see my self doing great things and changing the game just as Dagrin did despite the short time he spent on earth.
