How did you get your stage name and what pushed you into music
I am Lariz Biz, that is my stage name. Lariz comes from my name native Yoruba name Lanre while the Biz a catch phrase I have had since my secondary school days. Anytime my friends call me, I was always busy so they tagged me “Biz”. Music is what I love doing, right from my childhood days, it gives me happiness.
Tell us about your family background
My childhood was fun filled I come from a family of six and I am the last child of the family.
We know its not easy, so how do you combine music and academics
I have a personal timetable, so I study hard when it’s time to study and when it’s time to do music I do it also to the fullest.
What has been your greatest challenge and success as a new Nigerian rapper
There are a lot. I need a big stage to mount and perform, I need to show case my talent and I need money to finance my record production.
You have a unique style, which top artiste would you like to feature and why
True, my sound is unique. I want to work with Olamide, he has really helped so many upcoming artistes like myself. He is not selfish and has helped the careers of like lil Kesh, Young John, Davolee and Chinko Ekun.
Lariz Biz Who is your role model and why do you respect him
Wande Coal is my mentor. I respect him because he has really inspired me in my musical career through his singing styles. Just like him, in two years I would love to have kicked off my own American Tour while performing with other big artistes in the industry.
